Great film, but here are my thoughts.
Orrin and I just watched this movie Thursday night. We heard that the book was good and so many people wanted to see the movie. However, we had no idea what it was about. When the movie was 1/2 way through I loved it. These two cute little boys who were best friends and their kite tricks were sweet! Then the movie takes a turn and starts making me sad. I really don't know a whole lot that goes on in the world. I know I should but I go to bed before the news comes on! lame excuse. So I am asking Orrin about what is happening and he goes "Don't you know about that Taliban? Don't you know what has been going on for years!?" No, I don't. So this movie was breaking my heart and when they stone a lady to death, I just about turned it off! Lets just say after the movie, I bawled. Very sad tears were coming from my blue eyes.
So I decided that I need to study up on what is going on in the world. I almost searched Kabul, but my thoughts went back to the movie and I got too sad. I don't know if I am prepared to know everything that is going on out there.
