Last weekend we went down to St. George. I was so excited to get down there. I ditched work and school on Friday and Orrin attended his morning class before we took off. We were supposed to be out the door at 9:00. We got in the car, got gas and were going to drop off a movie rental and drove the completely wrong way! Then when we got back on track the dvd wasn't even it it's case! Then Orrin forgot his Protein (of all things) so we had to go back and get that. Then we stopped and picked up a Smoothie for the drive. An HOUR later we were finally on the road.
That afternoon I made some strawberry jam with my mom. As soon as my nephews were up from their nap I headed over. They are so cute and were so happy to see us. I just love that!

The whole reason for the trip is because my sister Sami competed in the Washington County Fair Pageant. So that evening we went over to the school so she could run through her talent and I helped her brush it up. It looked SO cute. Especially for making it up the day before! Check it out in the video. This is from the actual show. She did SO GOOD!

So that night we hung out with family and watched the movie Forever Strong. I highly
recommend it. Good show.
The next morning I got up early and did my friend MyLyns hair for her sisters wedding. It was so fun to chat and see her new little boy! While I was doing that, Orrin went golfing with a friend. He loves golfing. It's too bad it's so expensive or that would be a fun thing for him to do more often.
That afternoon the family went out to Pizza Factory (yummy, I was craving a bread twist) and I met Sami's new boy Braden. It was fun to meet him and "interrogate" him with all my questions.
On the way to Lunch I got a phone call from Cameron, the boy I used to nanny
After lunch I did samis hair and makeup for her interview portion of the Pageant. We sat around that afternoon and I gave pedicures to my mom and Orrin. Orrin LOVES his pedicures. That evening was the Pageant. There were 13 girls who were in it. It lasted 3+ hours! So long but it ended up being worth it, Sami got 2nd attendant! She did so good in all over her parts. She was rocking the swim suit and her formal was amazing. She made it!

Just between you and me, before Orrin met me, he used to make out with one of the girls that was in the pageant (she may or may not have made it into the top three. I'll never tell). Well, she just may have offered to have the "S word" with him. That's the type of girl I want representing Washington County for sure!! Good man to turn her down.
Sunday I went to church with Leslie to help with the boys during Sacrament. I ditched out a little early and watched a portion of Prison Break. That afternoon we visited and got dinner ready. It was fun to have the whole family, minus Josh : ( , around for dinner.
Then it was time to leave. It was a fun little goodbye with Nephews giving us LOTS of kisses
The weekends are too short.
This week has seemed like an extra long one. Maybe it's because I only worked 3 days last week! Work has been long and pointless. Out of the 5 days I worked this week, I actually "worked" 2. It's easy and boring. Next week my boss is out of town and that means that it's going to be even more boring. However, one of the other attorneys here is going to hire me out for the week. His assistant is so behind with her work that he wants me to help her catch up. At least it will give me something to do!
In school we are learning about shaving. Last night Orrin came in to get his first straight razor shave by a real barber! ME! I was seriously so nervous! It was my first one and I didn't cut him once. Orrin liked it so much that he is going to come in every week to have me shave him. It's only $1 at the school and you get a few nice steam towels, the save and some lovely cream. It's just about a 30 minute service and you can't beat $1!
That's the update!

well, I have one correction to the weekend, I am now 2nd ATTENDANT not 2nd ATTENDING....... but close. It was a fabulous weekend, thanks again for coming down and supporting my weird decision to do a beauty pageant. Love you sissy.
