hometown visit

Last weekend we went to Ferron to make up for the time we missed visiting over the 4th. Every time we go down, we have intentions of driving up the road a ways from Helper to see the "White Ladys House." It's apparently a Haunted House up the canyon a little. Orrin said he went there once or twice before. One time, the car he and his friends were in, got stuck or broke down and they had to walk all the way into town. It was freezing and they only had one coat amongst them. Dumb kids. It's a good 20 minute drive, no cell service..
Well.. we got to driving and we turned up one road.. we were going to see the Devils Playhouse. It's an old warehouse type place that the scary kids go to play with the devil...? So we get driving up there and we see a dark figure out in the middle of the road. No joke. I was creeped out but there was no where to turn around. We get up by the building and pass this guy, dressed in solid black (he was Indian so he was dark too) out there all alone, no car, bike or anything! Creepy! I wanted to offer him a ride but you don't give rides to people who are at the devils playhouse alone!!
So after that scary detour, we kept driving.. never did see the white Lady's house but there were some other cool buildings. We saw a bunch of cows and let Phil out for a potty break. He went nuts! Chased the cows and would come back and stand by us and he was shaking so bad! haha.

We finally got a leash on him so he wouldn't get stomped on by the cows. Stupid dog.

So we made it to Ferron about an hour and a half later than planned but it was a nice little detour. The weather that weekend was fabulous! We sat outside that evening and just chatted while Phil and Walter got reacquainted. Walter is my Mother in Laws dog and he HATES Phil. Hates him. Phil just wants to play but Walter will have nothing to do with him.. just growls and barks at him.
On Saturday, after lunch at the the diner by the lake, we went for a walk down to the Farm. Then we stopped by the creek to see how the dogs would like it. Orrin decided it would be a good idea to teach Phil how to swim.

Obviously he hated it. Poor little baby cant handle the cold water.

Good thing Brenda was there to rescue him out of the water.

It was a very relaxing weekend! As always.
