lists

I've seen lists similar to this on a few blogs and I think its fun.. I want to give it a go. aka work is boring (again).

Things I would tell to my high school self:

1. The night before you're CPR test.. watch out for that stove top. It's hot. You'll be in pain all night long and will bomb your test. You pass the 2nd time.. but why not avoid the pain and embarrassment.
2. Don't kiss that boy. You know, the 16 year old sophomore who is showing interest in you. He only wants one thing. You're first should be better.. hold out a little longer.
3. Good job on the lifeguard thing. You're going to love it!
4. Be involved in school, maybe go out for debate. You might like that.
5. Don't hate on Mrs. Hansen so much. You get her next year and really like her after that!
6. One Tree Hill is not THAT cool.
7. When mom wants you to model that swim suit in the church fashion show. Go ahead and do it but don't wear those black heals. trust me. Go bare foot.
8. You know how mom is always trying to get you to come in to learn how to make the bread sticks? Know how you always respond, "I know how." You don't know how. Go in and help her. Then, ask her to teach you how to make sourdough and Cinnamon rolls. Then while they are baking, ask her to help you make another dress.
9. Go ahead and kiss that boy.
10. Oh, no, not that one!
11. You really don't need a new car. The Pontiac is just fine.
12. Dont stop dancing! Dont be foolish. You love it, it's fun and you're pretty good at it. No need to quit so you can work more to pay for that for that new car you SHOULDN'T get.
13. You know that Carmel popcorn you love so much.. dont eat it on the 4th of July. Carmel and the cap on your tooth don't like each other. Avoid being a hillbilly on a festive night.
14. Stay enrolled in cosmetology school. All your friends have other things going on.. you should too. Besides, one summer in school will not kill you! It really wont.
15. Dont get so involved with the boys at work.. at least not so many of them. Just leave them at work.
16. Scary movie nights with your friends are fun. Enjoy them for they don't last long!
17. Kudos on stressing the hell out of your mother for no reason with the "belly button ring" that sure is a fun memory. Besides, she should know you're all talk and really are a good teenager. Because you are.

Oh my.. if only I really could have had some of these warnings
