Its the time of the year when my mother makes home made root beer. She has saved all her old bottles over the year and even has some really vintage ones, like the ones above. I took some sweet pictures of some of them. If you want to venture on over to see them, click here.
Anyways, back to the root beer. It takes her a matter of 10 minutes to get the drink ready and then she spends a while filling the bottles and putting the caps on. Then the bottles need to lay on their side for 3 days to ferment. I never really liked the root beer, always had a bad aftertaste.
A lot of people have said it tastes very similar to actual beer so its easy to tell who the would be "alcoholics" of the family are!
