smooching

Saturday night as I was getting ready for bed Orrin was resting quietly. After a few minutes he said,

"You know, my longest relationship was 4 years. But the longest I've gone with only kissing 1 girl is 2 years and it wasn't during my 4 year relationship."

I'm proud to say that I am the one girl he has stayed loyal to for 2 years!

This February 28th marks the 2 year anniversary of our first kiss. Maybe we will have to find some bunk beds to recreate that magical moment.

While I'm on the subject (it's nearly Valentines so this lovey-dovey topic is appropriate)...

I was so nervous to kiss Orrin. I was afraid he was going to be a terrible kisser. We went on a few dates and "hung out" a few other time before the big kiss. He had hugged me a couple times and each hug was a big, awkward, bear hug! I think he was trying to show me how strong he was. I was scared he was going to be a forceful kisser and try to eat my non existing tonsils.

Boy was I wrong!

It's been a great 2 years.

picture time

Since we are SO busy with school and work every single weekday we really look forward to our weekends. This Saturday we had the joy of getting together with the Hulets. It was a long time coming. For living in the same city, and not having any other friends, we sure don't see them very often. We played a new game (I won twice thank you very much! (and steph!)) and the boys watched SWAT while Steph and I chatted away. It was very refreshing.

Sunday we played hookie and skipped out on Church. I know, I know. It was great to spend time with my Love though. We watched Willow and made crepes. After we got ready for the day it was 4:00 and I convinced Orrin to go take some pictures with me at the college. They had this really neat garage door I wanted to use as a back drop. It was a lot of fun (for me).

That night I made Lasagna and we caught up on the Bachelor. What a show! I haven't seen this past Mondays episode yet but I know who goes home and I am SO sad about it. Orrin's not... he thinks shes ugly.

Foolish men.

in case we missed you...

I didn't order nearly as many as I wanted/needed.  I still love you.  I would type the letter I included, but if you check my blog enough, you know what's going on in our lives.

i can't belive it

Its been 1 year since the day Orrin and I were married. September 22, 2007! How time flies.
The picture above is Orrin and I after we came out of the temple. It had been raining the whole day and it couldn't have been more perfect. Its cloudy and raining now so I am taking it as a reminder of that day! A little sign that it was the right thing to do. Not that I need a sign. I totally know! I hope we get a little rain on the day of our marriage every year from now on. What a fun tradition.

I realize most the pictures I chose to put up of our wedding (or bridals) are kissing ones... we're in love, what can I say!? I was absolutely thrilled to marry Orrin Lemon. He is such a great BFF.

This year has been quite the year. Lots of struggles and joys. Tears and smiles. Before I was married, people told me that it was going to be the best year of my life. The Honeymoon year. Its all warm fuzzies, rainbows, sprinkles and joy. They were wrong.
The first year was HARD. It took some getting used to. Sharing the bed with someone whose not used to your sprawling out isn't easy. Orrin got lots of elbows in the back and I got lots of bite marks on my elbows. Orrin had to put up with all my crazy hobbies and little endeavors. I had to put up with him begging for steroids so he can get better gains at the gym.

All of that "getting used to each other" certainly did pay off. I sometimes feel giddy when I look at Orrin. I am so excited to know that he is MINE! Its still so strange to think that we are actually married and will be spending our Forever with each other.

It really has been the best year of my life. There are many more "best years" to come. Getting married was the best decision I ever made. Tomorrow starts year two. We sure are getting old.

I love it.

oh love.

I had to babysit yesterday morning until this morning and that kept me away from my Love and comfy bed last night.  I slept on a couch, with a cat in the room and children waking up at 3:00 am because they needed a drink.   I am dead right now.  However, this morning I woke up to the most wonderful text:

Muah, have a good day love!

There hasn't been a day where Orrin doesn't come in and give me a kiss before he leaves for work.  Even when he can't physically do it, he thinks about it and lets me know it.  I love him.

24 hours

Orrin is up in Salt Lake to interview for an Electrical Engineer Internship.  I wish him luck on his interview but I miss him.  I thought I could be strong and not let it get to me.. Then last night when I go into the bathroom to get ready for bed, I see that his travel bag is missing.  sad.  I reach for my toothbrush and his toothbrush isn't there to spoon with mine.  sad again.  I hold it together until I get into bed.  Since he is gone I thought, "I dont have to worry about hitting him in the face with my elbows or pushing him off the bed."  So I start out in the middle.  I quickly notice that there is a big hole where he usually sleeps.  I always complained that we need to switch sides to even it out but he thought I was crazy.  I am not crazy.  I end up sleeping in his crater that he formed for me.  so, so, sad.

He said he will be back before I even get off work.  He better not have lied.  I miss him.

tic tac love

I just uploaded pictures from one of my cameras and I found this little diddy.  I almost forgot all about it!    One afternoon in church Orrin finished up his church candy and needed something else to keep him awake.   He got out his pocket knife and created this for me!  If you can't tell what it says I will translate, "i luv K."  He cut out the letters very carefully and placed them on the front.  SO CUTE!

footsies

I started to paint my nails last night while we were watching a movie. I hadn't even finished one foot before I saw Orrins foot with the little toe separator in it waiting for me to paint his too. haha. For such a manly man he sure does love to be pampered. He held very still for me and I think hes going to keep it on until he has to go somewhere in flip flops.

We watched the Atonement while we had our pedicures. Orrin didn't care for the film but I thought it was great. Such beautiful clothes! The green dress Keira Knightley wears is to die for. It was totally worth a free rental from the Red Box. Love it!

"tigerette woods"

"I am like Tigerette Woods!" - Katie Christensen.
Best Female golfer I have ever seen!
We had a fun evening out at Fiesta Fun tonight. Met our friends Jeremy and Katie Christensen and their adorable little boy Cooper to practice our swings home on the range.

Orrin is trying to help me get the right form. I think I have it down. Looks pretty good!

Jeremy is a pretty good golfer. He had the shoes, the clubs and even the handy little glove. He gave me some good pointers to hit it straight. I did the best I could in my cons.

Katie decided all I needed (besides different shoes) to make my outfit top notch was the cute little hat with the pom-pom on the top!! Cute!
Grandpa Gordon would be proud. I hit some pretty far (for a first timer) and Orrin, Jeremy and Katie showed me up but it was a lot of fun.

small town gossip

We went to Ferron for the weekend to visit Loves family.
Its always a lot of fun when we go up there.

On Sat we went to visit Orrins Grandma Arlene. She always has good candy out! The highlight of our visit was when she was complaining about her new hair do she said,
"I look like a little N-(insert the "N" word for African American People)-r baby!" After we stopped laughing she apologized and said she used it out of the up most respect! Then she treated us to lunch at the Grub Box and a drive around Millsite.

It was spring cleaning at the Lemons this weekend. Love checked out his old rock collection and went through some old mission things. I saw all of his old dance pictures and love letters.. too bad they were all from the same girl!

Loves little brother "Beef" doesn't get enough teasing so Love makes up for it when we're there.
This is Love holding Beef in the "Cruisifix hold!" Its impossible to get out of. Believe me, I've tried!

Orrin got a new dew. He did his hair on Thrusday.. the "Moustache" is a new addition.

One conversation we had in Ferron was that I have never seen animals "breed" before. How do turtles do it? Can fish? Do they just lay eggs and not get to enjoy the fun!? After Loves sister Laurles Dance recital, we were driving home and lookie here! Cat on Cat... weird.

Not only does Love like to pick on his brother but also the family dog Walter. Walter is a pansy.. but Love gets carried away sometimes. This is a nice picture where Love is holding Walt like a baby.... Although, Walters heart was racing so fast.. He knew Love was going to strike again!

Before we left we made a trip up to Huntington to visit Grandma and Grandpa Gordon. Such a fun couple. Grandpa Gordon is an avid golfer and since Love is getting back into it we went out side and had some fun! Grandpa Gordon taught me how to swing the club and hold my body right. He has balls and a net out in the back yard and practices every night. So now Love and I are going to go to the driving range to practice what I learned! Fun. Love was especially happy because Grandpa Gordon sent him home with some new golf balls and magazines! lucky!

We made it home with 2 bags of MEAT, 2 new (to me) lamps and all of Loves old mission stuff! Even borrowed season 2 of Greys Anatomy from Laurel! Can't wait to watch it and get organizing!

easter time

Yesterday was our 6th month anniversary. Hooray for us. If we can make it this
long, we can make it through eternity right?
My little sister works at IFA. Saturday they were having a little Easter celebration.
The National Guard was there with a mechanical bull and rock climbing wall.
The bull was pretty wild for Orrin. He was getting whipped around all over.
He did great though. He was on for quite a while.
I went first on the bull, he started out easy but got a little wild. I guess I was better than he thought I would be. The bull got a little temperamental. I showed him.
Next it was the rock climbing wall. Orrin wanted to do it Gladiator style. I wasn't so sure.
He went on the hard side, I went on the medium. I got a slow start but caught up.

It wasn't until the very end that I got stuck. There was no where for me to grab! Orrin claims he made it up twice before I made it up once. Its not true. I jumped up and hit the button, but it was broken so no one heard. You can't see bu on the other side the button didn't work either so my sister attached a cow bell. I could have used one of those.

After all that exciting fun we headed off to the Art Festival. So many cool pieces of art. It makes me want to be a photographer, painter, silversmith and a potter. All of it! After a little walk through it all we decided to go home. We were walking to the car when I decided that Orrin and I don't have a nice picture of Christ. Del Parson was there (He is the one who did the famous/popular church painting of Christ. I also took an art class from him at DSC last year) and he had some new way cool paintings. After much debating we decided it was worth the price. We ended up with a very neat Sepia tone/distressed picture that we LOVE, it looks like this..

bring your husband to work day

Today Orrin came to work with me! Not really though. He was getting his brakes done so I went and picked him up and we went to lunch. Then we went up to my work and hung out. It was a REALLY slow day so it was perfect. I lounged on the couch with him and we laughed with (but mostly at) some of my co-workers. It made the day go by so fast with him there. It was nice to actually see him during the day!

Once I took him back to his car thats when work really started to pick up. I had to do this catering order for tomorrow. I called the store today at 9:00 and ordered 3 fruit trays and 3 cookie trays. They called me back a bit later and said they couldn't get the cookies done. So I told them just to cancel them then. I then order the cookies from somewhere else. So when I went to pick up my fruit, they didn't have them because they understood that I canceled the WHOLE order. I was a little stressed but didn't yell or curse! It turned out to be a positive trip rather than negative. Found out we can order some catering trays through them (I have been looking for some decent priced quality black plastic trays for quite some time) so it ended up good!! yeah!
I like doing catering orders most of the time. It keeps me busy and I feel important. Because if I dont do it, who will!?

king of the day

Here are some pictures from Orrins birthday yesterday.

Orrin was the king of the day! My mom got him this sweet crown to
wear during dinner. He also got the spacial "Your the Best" plate that every special birthday person gets to use!

Rock Band Cake!

He is OBSESSED with Rock Band. He will only play the Drums and
wont ever let anyone else play.
I always have to sing. ; ( So I figure, was there a
better cake to make for my husband? I think not!

Here we are ready for him to blow out his candles.

Trish brought Cam and E over because they helped make the cake.
They wanted to share in the glory. Fair enough right?
Cam has one loose snaggle tooth that makes him look like Nanny McPhee.
We tried our best to get it out. With dental floss and ribbon but no luck.
Although I did get a text from his dad this morning that it came out!! Good for you Cam!

PS. Does anyone know why some pictures can be clicked on to view big, and others dont? and how I make it so they will always?!

his and hers

His
&
Hers

(this pic is a little creepy, if you look in the chicken it looks like there is an eye)
So I made an attempt to make a great meal yesterday. It was going to be some yummy crock pot chicken. I have never made anything in the crock pot before. I don't think I ever will again. I put it in before I went to work, and when I came home it was just a tad bit overdone.
Orrin stepped up and made us a meal he loved to make on his mission, "slop." I don't know if it looks that much better than mine, but it sure tasted better!! He was excited to make it for me that for sure.
So because of my little mishap, my mom went out and bought me two new cook books. One of these new books specializes in crock pots!

lipstick and kisses

I love to dress up and do fun make up. Its a good time and a lot of fun!

.PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

So this is what happens when my little sister Sami wants me to make her pretty for the fireside.
I find some really pretty make up and want to put it on. Once its on I can't stop myself, I kiss my nephews even after they scream in terror! Treyden goes "No "T" NO!!!" But I got him! (he calls me "T." I dont' know why, but he does and it's special) Then I kiss my husband who is such a good sport to let me take a picture. Then its infront of the computer using photobooth to entertain myself. So much fun! You're welcome to join me anytime.

the lemons

The story behind the Lemons!

Orrin and I met in January. We knew after about a week that something magical was there! Sure enough, we were married on September 22nd!

We went on a lovely honeymoon. A cruise to the Bahamas. I recommend a cruise to everyone and anyone. I swear I have never eaten so much food in my life! It was fabulous!

Now we are living in St. George and enjoying being close to some family and a lot of friends. The Holidays are here and that makes me happy! Orrin thinks otherwise but I will get him into the holiday spirit!

So that is pretty much it. We love being married and we love each other even more. Orrin is working as an electrician and I am a part time nanny. We are both looking for something a little better. Orrin is applying for Lineman jobs; he wants to work with the high voltage electricity. He should get his CDL license this Tuesday then he's going to apply anywhere and everywhere so we can get moving! Literally. Once he gets a job I will go to cosmetology school. I have put it off forever so whats a few more months!? anyways.... thats us!
